Nothing to Wine and Cheese about.

Okay, so its been way too long since I've posted on here... I'll be much better about this in the future. Let's see, whats been going on. I had my 24th birthday last week. I had a wine and cheese party and about 25-30 of my friends showed up. Here are a couple pictures of some friends that turned out. These pictures were taken outside of my apartment. The picture at the upper left is of Gus, Rob, and me. The picture at the bottom is of my good friend Eric, his girlfriend Jodie, and me. It was a blast over all. Also, I finsihed my summer internship. I'll have about 3-4 weeks of break now, then I start fall semester up, which includes my final internship. (Its actually a continuation of my internship this summer for the American College Dance Festival.)

Both my job at Citrus Salon and my job at the Fox movie theater have been going really well. Other than that, not too much to report. Oh ya, I'm going on vacation to California here in about a week and I'll be out there for a total of a week or so. I'm planning on spending time with my mom, my grandparents, friends back home, and visiting friends up north in San Luis Obispo. I'll most likely write more in here about that vacation when I return. California Vacation Con't.

I've had a blast out here. This last Sunday my mom, my aunt, and grandparents and I went out to dinner to a local restaurant called Yolanda's for Mothers Day. After that, my mom, aunt, and I went to the Ventura Harbor to walk around and enjoy the rest of the day. While there, we went on a cruise of the harbor. Funny...Ive never done a harbor cruise and I lived out here for near 18 years.

Andrew and I went over to Danielle and Davids this last Tuesday and we had a BBQ and played some cars. After playing some cards, I went to LA and met up with my friend Alex who is a dancer in Long Beach... We ended up lookin for a place to eat and talk for about 45 mins, but after all that time, we found an IHOP. Good times. It was great to finally meet someone I had just been internet friends with up until now.

Spent some time on the jetty out in Ventura and took some pictures out there. Exchanged some music with Andrew last night and today... so we each have a lot of fresh stuff to listen to for the next few weeks.

So, I made it up to San Luis Obispo for a couple days. For those of you who know some of my friends, I was able to visit Dru and Kevin. Kevin had people over Thursday night at his place and he, his roommate, and his friend Gavin spun techno and trance. Pretty fun nite!

Tomorrow I'm on my way back to Wyoming. Not really looking forward to leaving, but I have to get on with school as I'm taking French 2 this summer along with an internship. Along with school, I'm going to keep busy with work at the theater which should be a blast since there are some great movies coming out this summer. When I get back we will be preparing for Star Wars III.

No More California Dreamin'

Well, its the end of the semester for me, and now actually summer break. Even though this summer break is going to be a busy one with me working at the movie theater and working on an internship for the Theater and Dance dept. doing a lot of graphic design work for them, I'm now on vacation in Cali. It feels so nice to be near the cool and moist ocean air, to be around my mom and my old friends from here. I'll update here in a week or so and let everyone on here know how the full trip was. I'll be back in Laramie in about a week. Hope everyone's finals went well and is having a great break!

Monotonies of Life

Same stuff, just a different week. I'm irritated over the monotonies of my life. It seems as though my life is a broken record of occurances which never seem to end in repetition. School Monday-Thursday and working 25-30 hours per week on the weekends. Oh well... what can ya do as a college student?

I can't wait for the semester to be over with and summer to come about. I'm really looking forward to a week-long vacation back home in CA over the second week in May. I'm starting to plan out what I want to do when I'm out in CA. I'm just excited I'll be spending time with my mom and good friends which I miss so much. When I return to Laramie from California I'll be working at the theater and on an internship for my degree in graphic art.

Spring Break? Huh?

Spring Break was uneventful since I just worked and didn't really go anywhere interesting. Oh well, that will de different the first week in May when I go home to CA. This summer is going to be busy with work and school. I plan on taking 6 credits this summer, and with work that should keep me busy. I just got advised last week, and I'm on the right track with school...

Uhm. Had a sinus infection last week, and that kinda put a damper on things since I had studying to do and work from Thursday-Sunday. Oh well, thank goodness for antibiotics - I'm now feeling 100% again. :)

Just had my 5th French Exam of the semester and the 3rd Art History exam. I can't beleive there is less than 4 weeks of school left this semester! Yay! I'm feeling it tho, and want the end of the semester to come sooner than it is. Well, until next time!

So Long My Good Friend...

Well, my good friend Peggy who was a manager at the movie theater moved to Gilette, WY. She is one of my closest friends, and I love her deeply. She decided to move closer to her sister where she would work somewhere that payed better and where she would be able to earn more respect from her employer. I miss her so much already and she hasn't even been gone a full week yet.

This last weekend was pretty stressful as I worked for the majority of the weekend and studied for an art history exam I had Tuesday morning. Thats all over now, so the stress is all gone. Whew! :) Oh wait - I was able to sneak some fun time in and watch the movie "Hitch" at the theater with Dustin and Thomas. The movie was absolutely hilarious!

Don't know what is going on this weekend. I kind of feel like going dancing somewhere if I have some time off. I don't know of any exams coming up or large projects, so thats a plus. Hopefully this next week will be much less stressful. :P

Rasta Pasta and Projectors

• This weekend was a blast. My weekends start Thursday nights because I get out of class on Thursday around noon. Anyway - Thursday night I went to a house party and had too much "Red Stripe" to drink. The party was at this guy's studio apt. who is in my art history class. I ended up being hung over until Friday afternoon.

Friday was another story. I didn't feel like drinking at all that night after I got off from work. Just had a nice relaxing night at home, which was preceded by me going back upstairs and working with the projectors at work. That was totally awesome! I can't wait to start working more upstairs. :)

Saturday was a fun day in the sense that after I got off work around 5pm, Thomas, Erin, Dustin, and I went to Ft. Collins. We had dinner at a pasta restaurant downtown called "Rasta Pasta." After dinner, we went shopping at the mall. After the mall closed, we went to Milennium Tatoo because Dustin's roommate was getting his tongue pierced. (ouch!) After getting back, I was so tired from work and Ft. Collins I feel asleep right away.

Sunday I worked in the afternoon, then hung out with Dustin for the rest of the night. We played some cards, watched a DVD, played some online poker, etc. Good times. Dustin- if you're reading this - you're awesome dude. Well, quite the weekend. Hope there are more blogs coming up that can match the fun explained in this one...

The Thomas Affair - Over... Finally.

So.... some of you know that Thomas and I have had problems with our friendship over the past month or so. (We wont go in to details.) We finally worked things out today. I'm glad we were able to sit down and discuss things, because it was getting pretty bad. We were hardly talking, and when we did it was all through Erin. (his girlfriend) I wasn't spending the time with Thomas and his friends that I used to. Anyway - we went to Sherries today for lunch, and talked everything over. Things are back to normal again. (or at least will soon work their way back to normal) Its a good thing too, because I was really missing hanging out with Thomas and the rest of our friends.

Overall, it was a good day. I went to class this evening and learned a lot in Typography about Photoshop, and I went to French. (Got an "A" on my second exam in there, so I was really pleased.)

"Static... it'll stop you..."

Wow. So I went out to Club Static on Friday night with Jenn and Mike. Good times. I hadn't danced at that club in over 14 months, so it was good to go back and have a good time. Thanks for wanting to go Jenn. I had a blast!

PS - I had a lotta homework to do this last weekend so we didnt go out to eat afterwards to "Denny's." But ya. I still had a blast. (and I had time to get work done the next day)

Yay! Being productive is cool. :)

Well, I've gotten a lotta stuff done for school today. I've been more productive than I imagined I would. :) I've still got some stuff I want to do before the evening, but at this rate, this weekend won't be as bad as I originally thought! Whohoo! :)

Too much going on? Too much going on.

So ya... school is still going well, but I just found out I have two exams next week and the largest project in my Color Theory class will be due as well. I can do it. :)

Went to "The Grounds" today and hung out with Dustin. We just chilled and surfed the net on our laptops. Then I went to class... nothing too spectacular. I learned how to make a letterhead in my typography class, so that was cool.

Might be going dancing on Friday night. We'll see. It would be a lot of fun, since I haven't been dancing in Ft. Collins in well over a year. If I go, I'll be sure to post about it.m :P

So much is happening at work with Peggy leaving. (along with another guy, Brandon) There will be promotions up to supervisor, assistant manager, and projections. I think right now I'm only looking at projections. I don't have the time for assistant manager, and to be honest, I don't know if I've been there long enough for a supervisor position. (Even thought I'd take it if it was offered to me.) We shall see... time will tell.

I watched "The Grudge" last night with my friends Kyle and Jessie. It was a pretty damn scary movie...just as scary as I remember it in the theater. After the movie, I called Dustin to see what he was up to. He's not been feeling well and was on his way to Walmart to get some tea. Since I had plenty here, I invited him over to have some tea. (Then made sure he left with some as well... glad I could save him the money.) Well, thats about all thats been going on the past couple days. More updates later...

Meeting Dustin.

So, you know that feeling when you least expect to meet someone? I had that feeling yesterday. I met one of the nicest people I've met in Laramie in a LONG time. Granted he's straight... but who cares? I met him at a coffee shop here in town when I was just hanging out drinking coffee and chatting online. He sat on a couch across from me, we started talking, etc. He's really open minded and sweet. (And gorgeous) He's a tech student fom Amarillo, TX at the tech school here in town, and will graduate in June. Guess he's never been to the bars here in town because he usually is the type that stays at home, so hopefully I will show him some of the places around town. Last night after he got out of school (about 1:40am) I went to his place and met his roommate, had a couple beers and got to know him/them even better. Anyway, it was refreshing in the least to meet someone so cool... - end of story -

This week in school.

Wow, so this week started off like total crap; I had a French exam on Monday evening and then a huge project for my color theory class due on Tuesday morning (8am). It was a pretty stressful evening on Monday.

Tuesday thru Thursday was so much better. I turned in that project for Color Theory and the exam went well. I learned Wednesday evening that I got a 95% on the exam. :) Not a bad way to start off that class. Also, I got good grades back in art history this week as well. Also, I've been learning a lot in my Typography class about Photoshop CS. Great program. Anyway, the week started off a bit stressful, but turned around and became a pretty good week all together.
